We also finished 3rd in the world in per member giving to the annual programs fund of TRF! We gave $235.99 per member!

We are off to a great start again this year and there is no doubt that District 5950 will be a leader in giving again!

As a reminder, here are District Governor Sandy Schley's goals for 2009-2010:

1. Every Rotarian Every Year: This is the motto of The Rotary Foundation and we believe it is extremely important that all give to their ability. Last year, only 58% of the members in our District gave to The Rotary Foundation. Whether it is $100 or $10,000, it is our hope that all Rotarians will give. If we accomplish this goal, the next two goals listed below will surely happen!

2. $300/member: We would like the average amount of the gifts to The Rotary Foundation to be $300 per member. This amounts to $25/month, which for most of us, is not a great deal of money. Sign up today to have money debited directly from your credit card every month!

3. $1 million District goal: During PDG Tammy Laurent's year, we gave over $920,000 to The Rotary Foundation - just missing our goal of $1million! This year, we will accomplish this goal by getting all Rotarians to contribute to Our Rotary Foundation. It is Our Foundation because we decide how the money gets spent. We sponsor Ambassadorial Scholars and do great work through the Matching Grant program and much, much more. The money we give to The Rotary Foundation will change lives!
