[View All] CONGRATULATIONS, TOMMIE T.! IT’S OFFICIAL: TOM THORFINNSON NEW RI DIRECTOR  Congratulations to our very own Tom Thorfinnson (Eden Prairie Noon Rotary Club) of District 5950, who was officially introduced at the Rotary Internationin Birmingham, England late last month to serve on the RI Board of Directors, representing Zones 28-29. Thorfinnson will serve a two-year term. He succeeds Mike Johns of the Cleveland, OH area. Tom is married to wife Jamie have two daughters. As of the 1 December deadline, the RI general secretary had received no proposals challenging the selections of the zone nominating committees. In accordance with the RI Bylaws, then RI President Wilfrid J. Wilkinson declared Tom Thorfinnson and seven other Rotarians as the sole official directors-nominee from their respective zones. The directors-nominee were then elected at the 2008 RI Convention in Los Angeles, and began their two-year terms on 1 July 2009. We’re proud of you, Tom!
