Rotary International Governor
2008-2009 District 5950
![]() ![]() This year's RI Theme is "Make Dreams Real" I am proud to serve the 60 clubs and over 3,000 Rotarians in the Minneapolis area and in west central and south central Minnesota. Thank you for the unique and incredible opportunity to "Make Dreams Real" in this Rotary Year of 2008-09 as your 95th District Governor. In working with our district leaders, I have created 6 key Club goals and 4 District Goals for our Rotary Year, which are summarized below. I look forward to keeping all of you updated on the progress we make in reaching these important objectives – through my GOVERNOR’S LETTER, which will be published, emailed and mailed to all Club presidents, as well posted here on this website. I welcome your input anytime on any Rotary subject. Simply email me at chrisholm5950@gmail.com with comments and questions and I will respond. Have a great year! GOVERNOR’S CLUB GOALS 1. Have Fun! 2. International Service Send at least one person in your club on an International Service Project trip. 3. Start one new Local Community Service project and use a District Simplified Grant. The district has $500 to match any new local community service project that your club starts after July 1 st . Ask for the money before you do the project! 4. Grow Membership by at least one net person per club. 5. Support The Rotary Foundation. Give at least $200 per member to The Rotary Foundation. 6. Have at least one Rotarian in your club participate on a District Leadership Team. GOVERNOR’S DISTRICT GOALS 1. Get our district communication system to work well. 2. Develop leaders for the Clubs and District. 3. Hold produtive and fun District Meetings. 4. Launch District 5950 "Future Vision Plan" for The Rotary Foundation.
