Dear Rotary Friends,

Rotary International President Ray Klinginsmith’s theme for the year, “Building Communities - Bridging Continents” is a great elevator speech and conveys what we as Rotarians try to accomplish.

My theme for the year, “I am a Rotarian I know I can” reinforces Ray’s theme with a positive and can do attitude that each of us should agree to when we become Rotarians. Service above Self is the goal before us, with many great opportunities in our communities and on other continents.
 
During the coming year I hope you and your club take advantage of the many grants we have available for local projects. What better way to get visibility and gain new members by meeting local needs in your community. Our district’s matching grants program will help you double your investment in your community.

So let’s get started in “Building Communities Bridging Continents” by taking action, and then you too can say “I am a Rotarian I know I can.”
