In addition, our Club participates in the District Youth Exchange Program, Group Study Exchange Program, and we support a medical clinic in rural India which was started by one of our own members.Another Club member, Ric Jacobsen, started the Rotary safe water program by buildingthe first clean waterwell in the Dominican Republic during the 1990s with funds from our Club. Bloomington Noon Rotary supported 11 different local charitable partners andtwo international charitable partners during this past year by raising funds at a funfilled annual November gala. We have also funded and developed our own Club Foundation from which we hope to help special projects in the future. Our Club members share camaraderie on our various service projects, such as "Pack-to-School" assembly lines to fill backpacks for needy gradeschool students and serving community hot meals through Loaves and Fishes. We also schedule "after-work" social events and theatre events to mingle with spouses and friends. There is something for everyone at Bloomington Noon Rotary!! During this year, Bloomington Noon Rotary hopes to grow its membership, provide more service and leadership opportunities for members, and repeat its 100% participation in the Rotary International Foundation Campaign. ![]() |
